Hello! My name is Kaya.
I am a creative captive photographer based in Southeast London. My photographic journey began as a passionate hobby.
While growing up, I would take candid photos of friends and families at events and gatherings. I used to snap natural photos in the moments, us being silly having a laugh. Flicking through some albums years later brought back exciting and happy nostalgic memories. This was the foundation of my photographic career.
To enhance my skills, I did a course in Content Production with focus on photography. The advantage of living in London provided many creative opportunities for me to grow and nurture my photographic skills. It was during this time that I discovered a love for architectural building designs and night photography. Some of these pictures are featured on my instagram page.
On completing my degree several years ago, I created Kaya Baka Crystal Images (KBCImages) and began working as a professional photographer focusing on weddings, portraits and events.
During the last seven years I have met a range of fantastic people and captured natural vivid photos. I have also evolved my photographic styles and techniques, in creating unique narratives for different occasions.
My clients are a variety of people from a diverse cultural background and different walks of life. Interacting with different ethnics communities has been humbling and rewarding. I aim to bring forth the spectacular beauty and cultural diversities in each photo.
I enjoy capturing the little things, the vibrant moments of friendships, gentle hugs, small skips, beautiful smiles and sweet whispers of love and joy. Moments of lifetime etched in photographic gold.
In my spare times I enjoy cooking, travelling and my two cute mischievous cats. I am also an avid film and movies fan; you will see this in various lists and posts.
Hanging out with friends and family once in a while, keeps me rooted and up to date within the community. At the same time, I am just as happy reading a book or eating popcorn while watching a film.
I look forward to working with you.
My Work Ethics:
Every occasion is different but special.
The narratives begin with my clients. Connecting and bonding with my clients is vital for a positive working relationship and final outcome.
I meet clients (or connect online where necessary) two or three times at an agreed place and time, to discuss the clients’ themes and vision for the day and any relevant adaptations. With further discussions till completion.
On the day of the event, I mingle and blend in with guests (or crowds) and be as inconspicuous as possible snapping beautiful, detailed moments.
I like to capture the day as it unfolds as naturally as possible, without poses or choreographing the shoots. Each picture has a story to tell.
Whether it’s a wedding, a special event or a family shoot, I aim to make it fun, happy and memorable. And most importantly, to provide beautiful vivid photos of the day.
